This witnessing is different because it goes beyond looking from the outside in. I am able to empathize, in my case, with my father on a level that other people cannot as I have seen and gone on the journey through his life with him. After reading it I saw that he truly does live by this quote and ensures that he teaches me to do the same. He lives his life by the principle that he is the same person he was before the accident and even if he does have to work harder than other people do, he does not mind.
