The main idea of this passage is why some people like to sell interesting animals like skunks, snakes, strange critters. I learned that people like to have reptile pets or strange pets. I thought people were only interested in having a cat, dog, fish, hamster, and that kind of pets. I also learned that you need to have a permit to have skunks so Averso got his permit and he is one of the only pet stores that has skunks so he gets lots of money because people are willing to pay the amount of money the skunks are because that's one of the only stores that have them. Averso sell most of his cool reptiles for lots of money. Like in the text it say " It's about the size of a gray black squirrel with black and white stripes, priced at 2,500" That is a lot of money but i bet people buy it for that price. I loved reading this passage it was a lot of fun. I am glad I choose to read that one.

Main Idea: chimps escape from the zoo and cause a code red.
The article is problem and solution. The problem is that the chimps escaped from the zoo. The solution is that they used the chimps food to lure them back. The chimps are very smart so that is how they found a way that the could escape from the zoo. The person who runs the zoo thinks that the chimps might have broke a branch and put it so they could climb out of their cage. Or they could have done that with a long branch. When the chimps were out the people didn't get hurt but they could have because chimps are very strong and can be heavy the largest one that got out was 150 pounds. Luckily no of the people got hurt.

This article's structure is COMPARE AND CONTRAST. I think this because it's comparing dogs, cats, hamsters and more regular and animals compared to the weird and unusual animals that Joe has.
