Thomas Hobbes and John Lockes have similar views on society, but there are some differences. Hobbes believes that man wants war and compares man to wolfes. Hobbes also believes that the weak is just as tough as the strong. He also thinks that people should have a say in government and that there is nothing that defines right and wrong except for what the individual decides. Locke thinks that government should have control of the people, but there should be some limits. Also, Locke believes that the legislative branch and the executive branch should be seperated to prevent abuse. Both have different but similar views on society.

It's Katie. Thomas Hobbes and Lockes theories are similar. Hobbes believes that man is compared to a wolf. He believes that someone who is weak or is not as strong as someone else, is in fact just as strong as anyone else. He supports the idea that people should be involved in the government and that there is no right and wrong except for what the individual decides. In similarity Locke believes that the government should have control, but there should be some limits. Locke also believes strongly in individualism, this is because people are born naturally selfish and that if no rights at all, then the right of self preservation. He also believes that the Legislative branch and the executive branch should be separated in order to avoid abuse. In conclusion Locke has more of a religious beliefs and Hobbes believes in a more scientific asset.
