Many students on a rainy day might forget to bring their umbrella out with them. I usually see students rushing to get to school or go home when it rains as they didn’t bring out a umbrella with them. From the bus stop to the school, there isn’t a single shelter to cover the rain for the students. By the time the students manage to reach the school after running in the rain, they would be drench. If this happen during a examination day, the student might get sick and would not be able to take the test. Another problem i face is that, even when students reach the school with their wet umbrellas, they would dry it out on the pathway outside their classroom, and by doing this. It blocks the students from accessing the pathway.

Some students are late for school during school days and teachers are needed at the school foyer to take their attendance which makes the teachers late for their morning classes. An example would be when I was late for school one day and the teacher got mad at me and the students as she had to mark down our attendance and would need to ask each of us which class we were from so that she could keep track of who was late. This method is very time consuming which makes the teacher enter their first class in the morning late which lessens the teaching time in class. A solution to this problem is that since all students have phones, the school could have and app that allows the students to clock in when the enter school. To clock in, there can be a QR at the entrances of the school. When the student scans the QR code the app would register who and what time the student entered the school. This way teachers do not need to station themselves at the school entrances and use up class time to take late students attendance.

During the recent Covid-19 pandemic ,the amount of people who bought goods online has sky-rocketed. This lead to an increase in the number of deliveries of goods. However, when the goods were delivered, it was unguarded and unprotected as it would usually be placed outside the consumer's house door. The goods unguarded or unprotected meant anyone could just pick them up and walked away and in fact this has been an increasing problem for everyone even in other countries. If this were happen to a/an particularly expensive/valuable product, it would be disastrous. A solution is to design and create a collection box of sorts which has a one-way depositing system which makes it easy to deposit goods into but requires a key to retrieve them.

:D

During the covid 19 pandemic, the amount of toys bought has been increased. Especially in the number of lego boxes and sets bought. Parents all over the world would buy lego boxes during the pandemic as to keep their child entertained during the pandemic so that their parents can do their online work without disturbance. However after a kid plays with his or her lego set, they will not keep it as they would be distracted by something else. So to solve this problem I would suggest a lego sock. When this is worn, the bottom of the sock would be able to pick up lego as the bottom of the sock could be made of a silicone lego flat piece. This makes it easier for parents to clean up their childs lego mess on the floor.

Happy holidays :)

The world is still fighting the fight against covid . some countries are still under full lockdown which means you are strictly advised to stay at home at all time . Many pet owners who take care of their pets such as dogs and cats face many difficulties because of this . Dog owners wont be able to bring their dogs for walks in a park to get the excercise that dogs need . Like humans dogs can also get weight, and it will affect their mental health .
One solution i found is to design a treadmill mainly focused for dogs . It will be smaller than a normal sized treadmill and it will be placed beside the human one . So while the owner is running on the treadmill the dog is also running being held by the leash by the owner getting the excercise it needs to stay Healthy .

Some students from all around the Singapore often come late to school due to their irresponsibility. As a Teacher it would be very inconvenient as you would mark them as absent in the absentee folder and hand it in . But when they arrive you would have to change it . One solution is to design a product which takes notice of Students EZ link cards . So each student when entering the classroom would have to tap their EZ link card on it and it would register what time they came straight to the teachers phone .

Due to people needing to work and go out of the house. Luis target audience was people who owns a house.

Many people from across the world own multiple watches but do not have a proper storage system for the watches. if watches are not stored properly, the repercussions may be undesirable eg-(cracking the glass screen of the watch, stretching/snapping the strap of the watch) If it were to happen to a particularly expensive/sentimentally highly valued watch it would be devastating. One solution is to create and design a storage product which can hold 4 watches. The product will also be able to spin so the user can easily and freely choose between each watch.

:)

1. copied my idea lol
my suggestions to his design would be that. what happens if the students forget to bring their ez link card and what happens if the students were late. A suggestion would be that the students ez link card/ phone would be confiscated when they are late and another suggestion would be that the students need to report to the discipline master if they forget to bring their ezlink card so that their attendance would be marked. Although this design problem is a real world need as teachers do come late to their class as they need to mark the late students attendance it has some minor issues. Another problem would be that they student can ask his or her friend to help them scan their ez link card.

who-> studdents
what-> students being late
when-> when students enter school
where->school
why-> teachers enter class late due to late students
how-> teachers take time to mark attendance and ruth is trying to reduce or eliminate the time taken to take attendance
