Should teachers be allowed to carry guns on campus? || Persuasive Essay

“Good morning class”, the teacher says as she preps for our exam and hands out our packets. Within the first quarter into our hour-long testing session the building doors fly open and in steps a man with a loaded fifteen caliber pistil and aims it at a student’s head. Our ears filled to the brim with the arguments of an armed vigilante’s rant before attempting to end a victim’s life, almost instinctively the teacher pulls out a gun; wounding the assailant and dismissing and future possible conflict. The situation could have ended entirely different had the instructor not had a gun to stop the criminal. Therefor one can argue that teachers, high school education and higher, should be permitted to carry concealed weapons on campus because, they could prevent rage stricken antagonist from injuring others.
Previously, at the University of Texas at Austin, an incident took place in which a man climbed the top of the bell tower, and used it as a nest to commit horrendous acts of unjustified violence. He took out a large gun and proceeded to open fire, striking thirty-one innocent people and resulting in thirteen innocent fatalities. Open carry laws were not permitted for students on campus at this time, but now that the new B11 bill has been put in place, more scholars will be able to lawfully carry arms on school grounds. With the growing number of campus gun owners, it puts occurrences like the Charles Whitman shooting, of which reoccurrences may become more prevalent. It would be plausible that a teacher with an arm would have the power to disarm the assailant.
In a world like today’s where ordinary civilians run amuck, predicting hazards before signs occurs is a near impossible task. However, consenting to educators carrying arms in the schooling environment will reduce the chances of shootings, while simultaneously increasing the safety of students. “You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don’t enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves.”, said Michael Steele. Elaborating on what Steele said, just because there are gun control laws, it doesn’t grantee that people with obey them; therefore an educationalist could step in and defuse situations caused by the reckless decisions of other parties involved.

Physical Pain vs Emotional pain ; which has more of an effect? || Persuasive Essay

Seven seconds left on the clock. One swift sprint across the field and it’s another win for the
team. Five, four, three, two- BOOM! Ransacked by the other team’s linebacker, a torn calf
muscle is the diagnosis. After six weeks, the injury is pain free and completely healed, however
football, a passion since birth is no longer playable. Physically there’s no pain, but the emotional discomfort created by the accident are a constant battle. The difficulty level when trying to overcome emotional pain is higher than when trying to overcome physical pain because emotional pain has no healing date. Those who’ve experienced physical pain that manifested into emotional form, or even those who’ve experienced emotional trauma would agree on a common revelation; regardless of how long ago in the past the experience was, it still will influence one’s emotion when thought about. For example, people who have experienced loss often still have the same empty feeling in their heart where their loved one used to be, because emotion aching doesn’t completely heal, most people just find a way to cope with it enough for it to not affect them as much as when it was
fresh. Therefore, emotional pain doesn’t truly heal whereas, with physical pain the healing date is
predetermined. Mineko Iwaski once said, “Stab the body and it heals, but injure the heart and the wound lasts a life time”. In conclusion, emotional pain topples physical pain because physical pain leads to scars, but emotional pain leads to wounds that never heal.

I could gather all the people with good morals and such. I just wish I could find an island uninhabited by other and start a new life. Everyone would have equal rights, 1) Happiness if it doesn't hinder the positive development of another person, 2) Life, everything with a heartbeat is entitled to life if they are not imputing wrongful harm into society, and 3) Equality to all no matter what race, gender, sexual orientation, title, or job description. Our technology would be so far advanced that we'd produce zero waste for the environment, we'd have a ball like structure that covers the entire island from under the ocean and up to 25miles in the sky that would protect us against tsunamis, missile strikes, earthquakes, and any other possible ways to end our population. We have no use for money because we have a surplus of everything. Love, most societies have a law when it comes to us we only have one rule, bestiality, pedosexuals, and incest is strictly forbidden alongside rape and child molestation. If crimes like these, including murder occur, she/he/them will be exiled and bared from returning to our community.

Cross Connecting Analytical Paragraph

In the articles, The University Police Can't Prevent Violent Crimes and Why I Would Have Liked to Have My Weapon with Me in College, both authors are using an emotional appeal to capture the reader and help get their point across. In The University Police Can't Prevent Violent Crimes, it says, "When murders and even massacres occur, as they have at other "gun-free" schools, university bureaucrats will undoubtedly absolve themselves of guilt, wash the blood from their demonstrably unsafe spaces, and call in the grief counselors". This excerpt alone is enough to make anyone who truly cares about their own wellbeing, boil. In Why I Would Have Liked to Have My Weapon with Me in College, two separate lines with the same backstory says, "I could see the police cruisers parked for the night as this stranger raped me, pistol to my head. I knew no one was coming to help me...I feel certain that I would have been able to stop the attack. Not only that, but two other rapes would have prevented, and three young lives would have been save including my own". These quotes support the idea that allowing students to carry their own lawful weapons on campus would benefit them in the long run because they could not only save themselves but others as well. From the articles, the author wants us to learn that responsible gun ownership and the act of carrying them on college campuses is valid because the on-campus law enforcement won't always be there to stop the attackers from harming others or possible saving themselves.
