Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a neuro-science based framework designed to optimize learning for all students, due to neuroplasticity, while also providing teachers with guidelines on how to improve their lessons! These guidelines can be applied to any subject or lesson, with the intent of accommodating the variability of all students through multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement!

Multiple Means of Representation focuses on the “WHAT” of learning. Every learner takes in information differently depending on how it is presented to them, so it is crucial that we as teachers present information in various ways so that all learners are able to perceive and comprehend that information. Four types of technology that could be used for this guideline are...
1. Ability to change the size of text, graphs, images, etc. for visual preferences.
2. Ability to adjust the volume for auditory preferences.
3. Written transcripts or auditory clips for videos to help learners see or retain information in a more preferable or needed way.
4. Presenting key concepts through various alternative formats - videos, diagrams, pictures, stories, etc. so that concepts are not presented in one sole way, rather various ways to meet the preference of every learner.

Every learner differs in how they prefer to express what they know and have learned, so as teachers we must provide multiple ways for students to express what they have learned so that it is optimal for every learner. Use of social media and interactive web tools to allow learners to be creative with how they express their learning.
2. Spell checkers, grammar checkers, and word prediction software to help learners develop clear and correct expressions.
3.
