It is exciting to hear that Greenwood Primary School is going to celebrate its 21st anniversary this year! From a student who has graduated last year, I have seen how the school has grown and developed in the past six years. One fond memory which I had in Greenwood Primary School is Celebrating OWLETS Carnival. In Primary 4, we brainstormed and designed game booths during our Project Work. The game booths were then actualised during the carnival and we raised funds for charity. It was fun and meaningful at the same time!

I hope that Greenwood would continue to allow more students to grow into motivated learners, critical thinkers and leaders of character. May Greenwood always be shining bright!

Let's see....it has been roughly about 16 years (yes I can be classified as a fossil haha) since I last stepped into the school. Hope everyone is doing well and I have occasionally passed by the school and lots of things have been added into the school such as an Indoor Sports Complex which wasn't there throughout my 6 years in Greenwood. I came to know that you are turning 21 years old! Even though I have graduated last year (2020), I can remember all those years like it has happened yesterday. I cannot and will not forget all those memories I have created there. All those opportunities and events such as OWELTS made this school special. We never stopped having fun learning in this school.

It's been an amazing 6 years in this school! Wow, time really does fly! Since my graduation last year in 2020, there were so many memories that my friends and I have made here! So many that I couldn't even remember every single one of it!

One of my favourites were the Project works over the years. It allows me to take a break from academic studies and to be able to do a projects with my classmates makes me miss it so much! We get to come up with innovative inventions and ideas that we will make into a piece of work and present it to our classmates and teachers! So enjoyable :D

Hope everyone is doing well, and the students and staff are fine. I hope Greenwood will continue growing and developing the next batches of students into leaders of character and for them to enjoy their time in Greenwood Primary!

Dear greenwood primary school,
The school’s going to commemorate its 21st anniversary. I am a student who had graduated from greenwood primary school just last year. Although almost 1 year has. Passed, the memories that i had in school with my friends are still held closely in my heart, they are memories that i would never forget. From the past 6 years, my Teachers have taught and educated with many life-long knowledge, i have seen how much i had grown through the time that i spent there. Those 6 years that I spent in primary school passed in a blink of an eye. The Teachers also organised many fun and engaging activities. Such activities would be OWLETS, learning journey, inter - class competition and many others. My friends and I had a lot of fun, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the activities are canceled. :(

I hope that the covid 19 situation would end soon so more of my juniors would be able to enjoy those fun experience and activities which they should be able to carry out without the COVID-19 pandemic. I wish the school and my juniors the best in their future and hope that they would be successful in whatever they do.

Finally, i hope that more students would enrol into greenwood primary school so more people would be able to enjoy pleasant time in school

Time flies. In the blink of the eye, 13 years have passed since I've graduated from GWPS! I have many fond memories of GWPS, whether it is playing catching/soccer during recess or watching sunrise before assembly. I also remember being an usher for the 5th anniversary of GWPS! Thank you to all the wonderful teachers who laid the foundation of my education; you are the reason why I am doing my PhD today. Time flies past very quickly. It seems like yesterday, when I first stepped foot into the school. I still remember sitting down on the wooden floor of the gigantic school hall, with my favourite book on my lap, and my best friends at my side during the morning assembly. Together we saw the national flag and the school flag being raised by prefects sporting bright red ties. Together, we sang the anthem and recited the pledge as one voice. However, due to COVID-19, unfortunately, our new Year 1s and Year 2s were not able to experience this. I truly hope that, soon, they will.

Looking back, over the 6 amazing years in GWPS, one moment struck me with so much happiness, that there are no words to describe it. That moment was, the OWLETS. This annual carnival was the first time I experienced the joy of giving. My team and I worked tirelessly to create a game that was enjoyable to every student. The students had spent their pocket money to buy their tickets and it was our duty to ensure that their expenditure was worth it. The money from these tickets went to charitable organisations such as ASPN Chaoyang School and Rainbow Centre. This end goal to give back to the community helped me push through any ups and downs in creating our game. As the saying goes, the best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others.

If I had to pen down all of my miraculous moments in Greenwood, I would be able to write a whole novel. Hence, I will end off here with my favourite quote by Mr A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Never give up because F.A.I.L only means First Attempt In Learning.

Happy 21th Anniversary Greenwood!! Keep on shining!

Eversince young, i knew that my life would be dedicated to the Arts Scene. Be it acting, painting, drawing, performing. Greenwood allowed me to explore more about myself.

My debut performance even started in Greenwood. I remember that day very distinctly as i could still feel the sense of nervousness and insecurity as i stood in the middle of the canteen to sing 'One Thing' by One Direction. From that moment on, i continued to venture deeper into singing through the famous Dikir Barat club we used to have. I had the oppurtunity to become both the Juara and Karut under the hands of Mdm Jun who was back then, the scariest person in school, second to be Mdm Siti.

To Greenwood Pri aka my Home, my Hood.
Thank you for placing the hidden pieces of this puzzle to create the person i am today. I am a singer, performer, songwriter, poet, all under the hands of Greenwood. I even make songs now like literally making my own music. All because of the foundation created by several teachers in Greenwood. If i were to type it out, it would take me around a whole week to finish it.

It’s been three years since i graduated from Greenwood Primary School.

Being in the school for two years from P4 to P6 had help to change myself a lot, from a mischievous student who do not like to study to a studious student now in Secondary School who is able to do well in exams. The teachers in the school who I will always remember in my entire journey is Mrs Koh (Eureka science teacher), Mrs Pauline Koh, Ms Anna and also Mr Sathya because they were the teachers who made me become who i am today, a successful person. At times when i face difficulties while trying to understand a certain topic, they will spent their time teaching me patiently until i understand the topic and this has then actually helped me a lot especially during my P6 time when i’m still struggling to catch up.

One event that i always look forward to when i was still a student in Greenwood Primary School was the “celebrating OWLETS” event, it is because that event allows students to use their creativity to plan out activities for parents or students to enjoy while playing at their station with the games that they created. That event also allowed us to have a closer bonding with our classmates because in order to make our activities successful, teamwork plays an important part in ensuring that things can be done faster and more efficient.

To end off, i would just like to say that being in Greenwood Primary is what i treasure the most as the values learnt and experiences i’ve gotten can really help to shape a person’s personality and also making us feel part of their family in the school

Dear Greenwood, happy 21st birthday!! I cannot believe I’m only 6 years younger than you haha. It has been almost 2 years since I last stepped into Greenwood. The last time we met was during 2019 Teacher’s day. I was very sad that day as I was not able to enter the school premise. 😿 Thankfully, I managed to see my amazing chinese teacher 董老师， and had lots of fun with my former classmates. It is really disheartening that COVID had stopped all of these fun activities.

During my time in Greenwood , I was extremely fortunate to have met many wonderful and amazing teachers, especially my Primary 6 teachers that guided me extremely well on my PSLE journey. Greenwood is definitely a school equipped with many patient teachers who will attend to your needs. Not only the teachers , the staff and canteen vendors in Greenwood were also extremely friendly. The drink stall auntie would always say "hi" to us, and the aunties at the general office would also greet us with a smile. When we are injured and go to them, they look even more worried than we are. It was really after I stepped out of Greenwood then I realised how precious this environment was. I always told myself that I would never miss my primary school life in Greenwood, but i was sooooo wrong. Greenwood was really where I made the fondest memories in my life. One of the more memorable ones would be learning journeys for sure. I had the chance to go to so many different places like the zoo , science Centre and even Malacca. Greenwood always strives to let us experience new things that we don’t get to in our classrooms.

Now that I’m three years into secondary school , there’s no doubt that I still miss the kind of opportunities that I get in Greenwood. Greenwood allows students ample space for growth, one of my experience would be the Model Pupil Award. For a student in primary 5 , it was really a recognition that I needed, to know that my school acknowledges my efforts, and celebrates my growth together with me. The is the type of opportunities that we rarely get now that we are in Secondary School. Thank you so much Greenwood for shaping 6 years of my school life , and this experience would definitely be one that I will keep deep down in my heart. Do continue shaping more independent learners, and help them to strive in everything they do. I hope to see you soon and Happy Birthday once again !

Wow, it's been 10 years since I graduated and the school has changed so much since then! Nevertheless, every time I walk past the school, it always brings back fond memories of the time when I was still a student there. I am forever grateful for the friendships forged (some of whom are still my good friends till today) and for everything all my teachers have taught me, be it academically or character wise. I will never forget the recess time catching sessions and the journey home after school with my friends. They were simple yet wonderful. Happy 21st Anniversary!! It has been quite a few years since my graduation in 2018 and now GWPS has turned 21. GWPS has always been a meaningful place to me, especially the memories with my teachers and friends. The school has provided a conducive environment and opportunities for me to learn and have fun at the same time. It has been a great time learning in this school.

One of my most unforgettable memories was during my last year in GWPS. When everyone gets old, the responsibility on us also gets greater. The school has provided opportunities for me to learn about what the word 'responsibility' means. I have learnt many things including friendship and leadership. Although the last year in GWPS can be stressful due to PSLE, the school has helped to relief the stress, especially my form teacher, Mdm Ling. She can be strict but she allows me to become more confident and resilient.

In the blink of an eye, it has been 3 years since I have graduated from Greenwood Primary. I live beside GWPS, so naturally I thought that I might have the opportunity to visit the school again, but COVID :( I miss the campus, it brings back so many memories with my friends, my teachers, and even the canteen vendors. Greenwood has taught me many many things, not only academically, but also emotionally and morally. I remember how amazing it felt during the graduation ceremony, yet at the same time I felt a fringe of sadness. It was a bittersweet moment. I did not want to leave the school, it contained my memories. I did not want to leave my friends, who I may never ever see again.

Thank you GWPS for giving me such a wonderful primary school life, and happy 21st Anniversary! I hope that Greenwood Primary School will prosper forever!

It has been 13 years since I have graduated. GWPS has changed much and improved in various aspects since my time. For example, there is now the new indoor sports facilities and the field in the parade square.
GWPS was and is a very important place to me. I met many good friends and teachers, and was allowed to grow up freely and happily there. Our group of friends were always up to something-- detective club (closed in two weeks), trying to set up an origami shop, or pretending to be table tennis experts just as the 2008 Olympics were approaching and "battling" each other every day. Whenever I look back, I realise that I'm very blessed to have grown up in such a supportive and free environment.
I am proud of GWPS to have made it to its 21st Anniversary. I hope current students will be able to make fond memories that we did, and I wish GWPS all the best in the years ahead! Jiayou!

Although it has only been a year since I graduated but I already miss being a student there. The teachers are very kind ,helpful and entertaining, lessons are always very fun and interesting. I would really like to thank all the teachers who helped me for 6 years of my life, thank you. I have had many memorable and happy memories ,like our yearly celebrating OWLETS,i really enjoyed it. In P4 & P5 I was even able to set up my own booths or help out for the carnival and I really enjoyed that.my most memorable year in gwps is in 2019 when I was P5.I had many opportunities in P5 and I am very thankful and grateful for that.in P5 for project work we went to kampung admiralty and set up booths to let people decorate their own photo frame. also in P5 i went for an overseas learning journey to shanghai, china.I went with my friends and we had a really great time there.
I hope that greenwood would continue to be place where everyone who steps out into the world would be young leaders that would be able to contribute to society in our own ways and make greenwood proud. Greenwood ,you would be able to pull through this difficult pandemic together as one! All the best on the road ahead.

Happy 21st Anniversary! It's been 9 years since i have graduated in 2012 from GWPS and been so long since i last stepped into greenwood! I was scrolling through chats and images of my class back in the days and realise i had many memories along the way with my classmates and teachers from greenwood and they were the ones who helped me grow as a person. Looking back, we went a long way and i am happy knowing that GWPS is getting better, have changed so much and is having a fulfilling journey for all greenwoodians. Can't believe it has been over a decade since I've graduated! From what I can see, the school looks very different from what I remember. Glad to see the school is expanding and providing more facilities to aid in the students' growth! I'm really grateful to been part of the school; my time there has really shaped me into the person I am today. Definitely had a great time in school and made a couple of good friends for sure.
