Over the last ten years, WebQuests have become more popular in schools. To effectively use a WebQuest, the best instructional methods should be in place, but the best WebQuests reflect the 21st century skills students need to do well in the world. Many surveys have been done to find out what these skills are and to the displeasure of many business leaders those entering the workforce are lacking these skills. This article will point out and go over the 21st century skills employers are looking for in the 21st century workforce and give eight best practices WebQuests should include to be an effective tool preparing students for the workforce.
