Formal learning is always organised and structured, and has learning objectives. From the learner’s standpoint, it is always intentional: i.e. the learner’s explicit objective is to gain knowledge, skills and/or competences.

I referred to Twitter as the backbone of a PLN because it is a constant flow of education sources and connections. I can literally post a question on Twitter and get answers back in seconds, if properly executed to a developed network of educators.
