how non-formal and/or informal learning play a role in your life now?

Formal education is classroom-based, provided by trained teachers. Informal education happens outside the classroom, in after-school programs, community-based organizations, museums, libraries, or at home.
Formal education usually refers to any planned, structured learning event (s). Common examples are the entirety of grade school, university, and even new hire training at your place of employment. Informal education is anything and everything else… and usually where most learning really happens!
Non-formal learning typically takes place in community settings: swimming classes for small children, sports clubs of various kinds for all ages, reading groups, debating societies, amateur choirs and orchestras, and so on.
Formal learning is always organised and structured, and has learning objectives. From the learner’s standpoint, it is always intentional: i.e. the learner’s explicit objective is to gain knowledge, skills and/or competences.
Informal learning is never organised, has no set objective in terms of learning outcomes and is never intentional from the learner’s standpoint. Often it is referred to as learning by experience or just as experience.

A PLN is a tool that uses social media and technology to collect, communicate, collaborate and create with connected colleagues anywhere at any time. Participating educators, worldwide, make requests and share resources. offered the opportunity to:
• Talk to like-minded, real people
• Share and exchange a range of ideas
• Inject creativity into everyday practice
• Enjoy a constant flow of ideas
• Encourage innovation
• Discuss and consider controversial thoughts
• Develop enthusiasm and passion
I have already a twitter account and I follow lots of educators, educational chats,..
I referred to Twitter as the backbone of a PLN because it is a constant flow of education sources and connections. I can literally post a question on Twitter and get answers back in seconds, if properly executed to a developed network of educators.
It is so important for me to connet other teachers, educators outside my school.I want to learn what is going on outside.I want learn more...
