The History of Jane Doe

I read The History of Jane Doe by Michael Belanger. This book had me in tears and smiling and laughing most of the time. It was filled with emotions and twisting events that would have me feeling so many things at once, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO FEEL!! My favorite part in this book was near the end when Simon and Ray were driving and flew in the air after going up a hill and going down really fast. In that moment, Ray felt so many things, that you'll just have to read yourself in order to see what I mean. I connected with Jane from my own harsh pain from the past. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance, suspense, and having a ton of emotions from little moments in books, because that is exactly what this book did to me.

Esperanza Rising

I read Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan and it had me in another tornado of emotions from events taking place. My favorite part of in this book was when Esperanza saw the roses that were brought all the way from Aguascalientes, Mexico, from the ranch where Esperanza was born and raised that was burnt to the ground, to the San Joaquin Valley, California, United States of America. When she moves, she goes to a migrant camp in southern California and learns so many things she never even thought was possible for her. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cultural studies, history, true stories, and feeling deep emotions throughout a book, because this book guarantees that.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid; Hard Luck

From yet another book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is another funny and entertaining story by Jeff Kinney. In this story, Greg, the main character, is given a hard decision. Now what? When his best friend Rowley leaves Greg for his new girlfriend, Greg is faced with some challenges. Greg tries to manage without Rowley and while Rowley and Abigail make a great couple at the couples table, Greg can barely find a seat at his own regular lunch table. My favorite part in this book would have to be when Greg tries to have a new best friend, Fregley, who thinks he can impress the girls at the "hot" table I'm guessing and it backfires. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good laugh from a book or just wants to read something they'll enjoy,

The Ones

The Ones was by far one of my favorite books of all. There are a couple reasons why. However, let me start out the proper was. I read The Ones by Daniel Sweren-Becker. This story is about a minority in society called Ones who were genetically engineered at birth, to be given special advantages when they grew up. Now the government wants to get rid of them, and this story tells about a girl who was told she was a One her whole life but finds out she isn't, and what she does for all her friends who are Ones and even her boyfriend, James, whom is also a One. My favorite part was the very very end when James and Cody looked at each other and their eyes made that last line feel even more special.

House Arrest was one of my favorite books this year. This book tells of a boy and what he did to save his little brother, and how even the good things in life have consequences. My favorite part of this book is near the end when Timothy tries to save his little brother Levi from dying, and steals a car to drive him to the hospital. Even though the end isn't as satisfying as I wished it was, I would still recommend to anyone who just likes a good book.

Without Tess

Without Tess is a drama that tells of a teenager and how, 6 years after her sister and best friends death, how she is still dealing and is finally learning to cope and let go. It gives a sad vibe, but also a vibe that makes you wanna cry but smile while you're poring your eyes out. My favorite part from this book was when Tess and Lizzie were playing underneath the table, even though Tess wasn't normal, it was one of the times when they were somewhat acting like normal little girls. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books with a lot of emotions that come with it.
