I think that the Sinking Of the Lusitania was a better reason to join the war than the Zimmerman Letter. Germany had purposely killed innocent citizens. I think America could resolve the Zimmerman Letter without joining the war.

Once the US joined the war it gave Germany a Sirius disadvantage.
It is good that the US joined because the war wouldn't have ended otherwise.
