Also have them be walking around. Then have the leader in a normal voice say if you hear me then lift up your hand and keep it up until I say stop. Most kids will hopefully not hear or be busy texting with both hands that they won't do it. The point is to show that when we focus on other things we can't hear the voice of our leaders telling us what to do.

This is a clip from Jonah from Veggie Tales. It might be a bit young for high schoolers but the point stands and who doesn't love Veggie Tales? The main idea of this song is "Our God is a God of second chances." After the video is shown have the students write down on a piece of paper what they need a second chance at and based on what they have learned from the prophets how should they act in this second chance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf6f-8Kd50Y

How can Christians today learn from God’s actions when angry
and when He forgives?

-The book sheds light on how even God required anger
management from Moses, which is something to reflect on as well. (pg. 85)

Psalms 37:8 “Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not
fret- it leads only to evil.”

This verse can be reflected upon when thinking about anger
management because even though anger is a natural human emotion it is a
destructive one. I think it is okay to become angry over things like injustice
or oppression because even God is angered by those things. However, it is important
to practice managing our anger properly and destructively.

The speaker of the poem, Brett, speak out on the problems modern
Christians can go through. Just as the Israelites maintain their identity
through practice, Christians today must find their identity and purpose and use
that against the temptations in an unjust society. The message is one of repentance
and once we find our path and realize that we have a sinful nature, the only
way to seek salvation is through loyalty and nothing else. When we find our
purpose and identity we are able to become who we are supposed to be and engage
in God’s work.

The kids can think about different ways the devil has gotten into their life. They can also think about ways to stop the destruction in life and when they are in to far how to get out of it. We can make a challenge for them to do after they leave.

I think this can relate to the Bible because it when the people in these bible stories fall into tempation and rebellion it is because they're side tracked on what they are doing in life and not focusing.
