I hope to be able to balance the time I have regarding band practices and school in 2024. As I'll be taking my N-Levels and O-Levels (for oos subjects), I hope that my time in band won't be affected too much.

my goal is for my juniors to be able to independently play/teach
to be able to transition smoothly to another section if it were to get too crowded

What are your goals moving forward as a section?

to be able to teach my juniors well enough they can be independent and eventually teach new juniors or lead the section.

What have you learnt this year?

I have learnt leadership and cooperation is a must when trying to work with a group such as band.

What is an area of improvement this year?

teaching and guiding juniors.

practicing and managing the section.

going forward, my goals are to polish up my scales and be able to play the tuba fluently.
moving forward as a section, i hope to be able to work together with them and communicate better.
an area of improvement for me is to play my songs with better sight reading and not rely on writing fingering.
this year, i’ve learnt to communicate with people around me and work together with them. although i’m not the best at that yet, i strive to improve in that area.
i can also improve on my ability to play long notes and work on my breathing.

I feel that I've definitely improved in my playing skills compared to the start of the year. Now I can sight read better and play more pieces with different rhythms that require a variety of techniques.

I can better improve myself if I practice more consistently during the holidays whenever possible. With daily practice (at least 15mins), I think I would be able to grasp techniques and scales I've learnt throughout the years in band. This will allow me to play pieces the conductors much better and will give them a less hard time during full band.

i plan on putting in more effort in whatever i do be it in studies or things i like. i think that the things i need to improve on is especially on my laziness. my laziness can actually kill me. no pain no gain. for things related to band, i plan to on working my best on improve my playing and helping my section mates get better.
