To me, 'learning' is a verb, since it is an active process. The goal of education to consistently provide knowledge and skills, while also constantly evolving and being shaped by technological advancements. That is where technology as a tool for education comes in. Integrating different kinds of tech can expand the ways we assess student skills and the way students learn. For example, students used to take their tests via paper and pencil, but now it can be a google form that automatically grades it. In my opinion that is a poor technological usage, since it will lack feedback for the student and only makes teacher's job easier(which is also important). Gamification, on the other end, can be an integration that engages students in the learning process. Article "Teaching In A Digital Age" also mentions using online platforms, like Google Classroom for collaboration between students, instructors and possibly parents(p.203). At my current position at a technical school we do use Google Classroom for the lecture/class work, while students also have lab work and both account for the grade, meaning that the student can't skip lab or abandon the classwork. Technology has to be used with intention, because it has an ability to be both beneficial & enhancing for students, while at the same time boring and dull.
