I left my New York City home early in the morning to get to the airport. I flew to Texas for the first time and stayed over night. I had the biggest burger in my entire life while I was there. I then caught a connecting flight to Mexico. I arrived in Puerto Vallarta Mexico early in the morning. I hiked mountains just to zipline down them. I swam in caves. I ate a local restaurants. Yet most importantly I felt the kindness of the people of Puerto Vallarta. From the staff at my hotel to the merchants on the beach everyone was full of kindness and joy. It taught me to appreciate and see just how broad and beautiful the world truly is. When considering the scale of the world Mexico was not too far from home. Yet it was far enough to show me just how little I know about other cultures.
