I think the combination music and maths is very funny and interesting for students. I work in a primary school and in my first class I use the videos a lot.
I send on my virtual class some videos. They're songs on shapes. The pupils see them and in classroom we work in groups: they use various geometric figures and saying what resemble, for example a circle is a pizza, a square is a picture...

This gave me the great idea to create some songs with a simple beat for learning the multiplication tables. Apart from the tables, I used some lyrics of my own (in greek) to rhyme with the numbers. When I try it out with my students I will get back to you :) Hopefully, they will enjoy it more than just memorizing the tables by heart. Also, they could create their own number songs (I loved what "Mr Mac" did with his students! )

In my experience music is very useful to learn Maths. For example I always sing the geometry's formulas with my students. I purpose a first song to my classroom and then they suggest me the next songs. So when the students are tired we can sing the formulas (and so we do Maths!)

I think it is ver challenging link together math and music. I know quite well music, and often I thought to highlight some nessus between these two disciplines. But it takes time to do this, it should be better to involve our collegue of Music and collaborate. I'll try to do this in the next future. We can take take the pentagram of a simple song and a system of coordinates and do this: 1.We put the first note at (0,0), 2.for each next note we move like this: if it is a quarter we move for units right, if it is an eighth, we move 2 units rights (so we have 4*4 units for the hole, one unit for 1/16 etc.). Then we move up or down one unit for every change between a space and the next line. For example from fa to sol we move one up and from sol to mi we move two down. (we don't care about semitones) And this is where we put the next point. 3. We do this for every verse and the pattern is in front of our eyes. 4. Children are asked to draw a grapf with a similar shape and then to code it as musing using the reverse prossesion and this is how (using graphs) they write their own music. (Published by a colleague and me on an international conference about music and maths).

2500 years ago, Pythagoras was served by a single-string instrument called (single rope rails), which is analogous to the meter used today to study the vibrations of the strings. Also, Pythagoras found out that when it vibrates together two strings, one of which is twice longer than the other, you can hear two sounds, giving the rope shorter highest sound. The sound produced by the rope highest octave is short compared to the lowest sound produced by double rope. Therefore, if the two coadre have their 1/2 length ratio frequency sounds emitted ratio is 2/1, that reports of lengths and frequencies are inverse to each other. Pythagoras found that if all the strings are in the ratio 3/2 lengths, the sounds you hear in the music form called quint; and give the 4/3 ratio range called blocks.
Finally, to finish the connection between music and modern mathematics, we note that if you play a musical instrument some mathematical model that can represent sounds is given a vector space.
