My name is Icel Salazar, and I’m majoring in Family Science & Human Development with a minor in Public Health. I’m part of a blended family of seven, and as a busy mom who works full‑time from home, life is always moving. I know the content in FSHD 101 will help me in the future by strengthening my understanding of how people grow, communicate, and build relationships knowledge I’ll use both professionally and in my own family. When I do get free time, I love traveling and spending quality time with my husband. Lately, I’ve been binge watching The Polygamist, and if my life had a soundtrack, it would definitely be bachata a Dominican rhythm that’s passionate, lively, and full of heart, just like my everyday world.

Hey everyone! My name is Nicole, and I’m currently majoring in Early Childhood Education. I currently work in administration as a preschool director, and before that I spend several years teaching in the classroom. I’m excited ti take FSHD 101 because I think learning more about family relationships and human development will help me better support the children and families I work with. For fun, I’m currently binge-watching Love Island UK. If I had a soundtrack for my life, I’d choose Hall of Fame by The Script because it reminds me to keep working toward my goals, even when things get challenging. Hey everyone! My name is Madeleine. I’m a transfer student with an Associate degree in Biology, currently majoring in Psychology with a minor in Family Science & Human Development. I’ve been working with kids for about 11 years, which is what inspired me to pivot my degree path. I’m really grateful to be in FSHD 101 to keep learning and apply these concepts professionally and eventually move into family or life coaching. Still, I’m excited to see where life takes me. Hello everyone! My name is Johanna. :) My major is in psychology and minor in FSHD. I think that FSHD 101 content can help me in the future in that I am better able to understand relationship and family dynamics more and also understand how people's contexts affect them in what they do. I am not currently binge-watching anything; I wish I had the time to, between working, school, and kids. However, the last time I was binge-watching was Stranger Things on Netflix. My kids and I started binge watching that over the Christmas holidays, and we even went to watch the final episode at the movie theaters at DC, while away visiting family. My husband never binge-watched with us, so the movie theater experience was his first time watching it. Haha Then, he started binge watching, afterwards. We liked it so much that I decided to go watch it on Broadway for my Birthday with the whole family. It was very exciting, and I highly recommend it before it goes out. :)
