I love how the last two weeks of the literacy curriculum set the students up to connect what they did this six weeks to 'real word' reading. They get to spend the last week applying ongoing SEs to a book of their choice. It's a great opportunity for them to have free choice, highlight their talents, and apply academic understanding to day to day life. Let me know if you'd like to collaborate on creating lessons that allow the students to shine!
