Becoming a knight was not an easy process and took a lot of effort.

To become a knight, you must first learn how to ride a horse and train with weapons until it was known and built into your brain. Next, you would start to learn manners and train with armor so it wouldn't tire them. Finally, they became squires assisting knights during tournaments, which would last shorter if the squire was an aristocrat. After that, they would become a knight (Johnston).

There were a lot of knights, and a lot of unique symbols on the coat to keep up with, so there were people called heralds who would keep track of each symbol and who had which symbol (Simon).
