1 - We did a Thanksgiving-themed bingo game. I had a 'mystery bag' of prizes they got to reach into when they won. It was a huge hit! It went a lot faster than I thought it would so i am glad i had a second activity.

2 - We did a turkey thanksgiving craft. Since it was a 2nd activity I pre-assembled most of them, I just had them write on each "feather" what they were grateful for and went around the room to ask them, which stirred good conversation.

  • It's hard to know how long (or short) an activity will take. Try to anticipate where kids will need the most help and pre-make or assemble things.

  • Kids love prizes - even very small things. Prizes added to any activity makes it much more fun.
