He feels somewhat offended when his parents offer him a new car because he loves his current one and would rather stay with it. He shows his favoritism of a simple car.</div>]]></description>

If he should go and tell the officials, he'll be arrested for several things, including expired driving needs and trespassing. He decides to literally follow Thoreau's transcendentalist ways and run from the law and break their rules in order to walk away freely, thus abandoning his car.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
