5. After the British took over Australia, many immigrants came in. 
6. During the early 1900s there was the Gold Rush, it encouraged many people to come here to mine for gold. 
7. Back then, the first ever gold site that they found here was in Ballarat
8. Before the dinosaurs, Australia used to be a part of a big continent, Pangea. Then during the time of the dinosaurs, the tectonic plates split it the continent and Australia floated away. Tasmania soon got separated from the mainland too. 
9. We have a national anthem
10. The states are: Victoria, New South Wales , Queensland, Northern Territory , South Australia.
11. The middle of this island is a large and dry desert.

2. The Australian emblem have the kangaroo and emu on it because those two animals can't walk backwards.

4. There are some unique animals in Australia such as the echidna and platypus. 
5. Tasmania was originally joined to Australia but it was a very small land joining them together but then a strong ship bumped into it and Tasmania slowly drifted away. (I think)
6. Most of Australia is unliveable because it mainly desert.
7. Australia is famous for a huge rock named, ‘Uluru.’
8. Australia used to be very cruel to the aboriginals but now they treating them better and better now.
