This research project is about "The Pillbug compost Experiment" where we tested pillbugs reacting to a new environment. We created from putting soil in one side and in the other we put Compost (material that can decompose) with soil in the other. We did a test similar before with wet cloth vs dry cloth and the bugs preferred the moist cloth more. Scientists who have studied pillbugs have noticed that pillbugs take up to a minute in order to let the bugs get accumulated (if you do this project make sure to do this so your results can be true to the test).

We had a Hypnosis that stated "Do Pill bugs prefer compost and soil or soil better?" Are test results showed us that they didn't mind the compost and most of the time it stay pretty equal to the soil most of the time. Before the test began I predicted the pillbugs would avoid the compost and stay to the soil side. (In a earlier test where there was no soil in the compost it showed that the they avoided the compost because they wanted just the dist to lay in). But once the dirt was in both sides the playing field was equal which made the pillbugs left with a choice. Go to one side and you will get dirt and on the other side food and dirt. Even though the compost didn't really matter on there decision a whole lot, but they decided the liked the compost side and the soil side even.

When Thinking of an experiment we had came up with an experiment of "Compost VS Soil"
We had to test whether a pill-bug would prefer its Natural habitat or a compost based habitat/Non organic or organic habitats. We had to do two separate experiments since we had a confounding variable We had no idea if the pill bugs were running away from the compost or if they were in the soil because it was their habitat.
so we had to add compost with soil to eliminate the confounding variable.

Out results in the first test the Pill bugs did not like the compost we decided to check if they didn't like compost or didn't like it because it did not have any soil. The second test the results where very different from the first. The pill bugs did not care about the compost. So the results in the first test are very different from the second. The results show from the overall test that

If scientists were to test this experiment then they should be using a bigger chamber, more pill bugs and more natural organic compost, and soil. They would have done more series of tests, and would let the pill bugs acclimate more because could have during our experiment they where freitend and only went to the compost to explore their environment.
