If we go back to the past to avoid violence, we try to force the government to accept both parties, this means a representation by the Liberals and Conservatives. this could end the age of violence and most of the wars that were occured in guerra de los mil días. during and after the country was left with an economic crisis that would be prevented if the separation gap between the political parties in the government. it was reduced by the representation of both partie ideals lowering the economic dept due to the wars and creating a sutenable groth in behalf of the government. in ecomical debelpment, the employment in the country was of a 20 percent, The poverty devastated so many people that it reached: 1. That hunger and poverty stood out and 2. that most of children couldn't go to school.( This affected a lot Colombian youth) many of the social consecuences of this revality between liberals and consevatives was-; violence, lots of deads (1400 people) and contant wars between them social diference between the status of the people. This helping us conclude, that

La separación de Panama was an event that occurred on November 3,1903, after the Thousand day War, which triggered the proclamation of the Republic of Panama, this occured because this attempted separation was the damaging attitude of the Colombian Congress towards the mercantile companies of the isthmus. United States since this incentives the idea of absolute independence and since the central government is not carried out, it was easy to attract the Panamanians.
In the political aspect, Colombia would not be very different if Panama were just one more department in our geography. Our per capita income would be a little higher. Our coat of arms would be consistent with our geography. But not with our economy because the wealth represented by the horn brimming with gold and silver coins would remain an irony. Their most certain contact with the centre of the country would be the Panamanian politicians, and if current circumstances are anything to go by, some of them would be imprisoned in Bogotá.

In the economical aspect, if we prevent the separation of Panama, we can take advantage of Panama’s Canal and turn it into important commercial and trading routes, implement and conserve railways which will mean an important growth in Colombia’s economy.
And in the social aspect, Colombia could improve the quality of life of their citizens thanks to the new economy and the territory that was obtained from Panama they can have better infrastructure, more resources and raw materials, and taxes will be reduced thanks to agricultural and industrial income.

We choose for the economic change to try to maintain Panama and provide a good economy to the country. In the economical aspect, we choose to maintain Panama to the country by giving attention to them as the wanted, because of this, Colombia could own the Panama channel, making the comercialization between the ocean to transport more goods and increase the economy, with this the unhappiness of the civilians would be eradicated and the economy of the country would be better.

For the political change we choose the dissappearance of the historical event of the bogotazo. That the death of Jorge Eliecer Gaitán has not occurred, since it generated the Bogotazo and that brought many consequences to the country. The immediate consequences of the Bogotazo on April 9, 1948 was the siege for three days of violent protests, disorder and repression. A popular uprising in arms went to the National Capitol to demand the resignation of conservative president Mariano Ospina Pérez.

In the political and social aspect, we changed the fact that in the constitution of 1886 the rights were equal for men and women. This would help women to be independent and more recognized and that their abilities are valued and that they can participate in activities carried out only by men.

Initially it is considered pertinent to mention that in case "La Guerra de los Mil Días" was avoided, the situation during that epoch of the nation could be better that the one historicaly happend.

For beginning; the economic impact of the War was so bad and dramatically shoking for the nation; initially it is important to mention that one of the main causes of this conflict was the huge economic crisis the country faced, ayway as it is evidenced; any belic conflict will bring a huge waste of monetary resources, and this war was not the exception; the war incremented even worse the economical reality of the nation. If the War did not occurred, Colombia wiould not have had to face the great hyperinflation because of the strategy used by the conservative party which opted for the manufactre of large quantities of paper money to cover all military expenses, this strategy originated a progressive devaluation of the countries currency and an increase in the money supply, which caused high inflation with the elevation of prices of population's consumer products. Other economic consequence of this conflict was that Colombia lost Panama's territry, and with this portion of land, all the benefits it led the isthmus brought, and the profit of the Panama's Channel.

It is a must to mention that the country was delayed in technological advances; so we conclude that if money was invested in infrastructure and advances for society, the nation may advance in so many ways.

It is a must to mention that
Aditionally, regarding the social impact; if it were avoided the civil warscaused by the bipartidism in our history; among them this conflict; the government may consider hearing both of the parties and avoid violent disagreements among people, allowing everyone to express and to be content with the countries management.

Other socioeconomical effect that if the war was avoided the nation may advance was that due to the war; around 2.5% of population (100'000 people) died fighting, which alse contributed to crisis because the country had significantly less people to work and produce goods inside territory.

In the political aspect, we may avoid the resentements among both parties after the war; we may still keep Panama as a departement of our nation, we will be a bit more free avoiding the United Sates to intervened through plenty of treaties, among them the Mallarino Bidlack Teraty; also, in case we had avoid the civil wars in Colombia we may learn to respect others opinion in order to achieve that all parts are heared, and if it is the best choice for the nation, to include some specific ideas that allows progress; the debates in our territory will have enough quality that will led to possitive understandings.

"La Gran Colombia" is commonly known as the
the union of the countries of Colombia, Panama, Venezuela and Ecuador, which was formed in 1821 after the Congress of Cúcuta, ending in 1831, a few months after the death of Simón Bolívar, the main promoter of this project.
Mainly this ideal of becoming a world power, was disbanded due to four reasons which are:
1) The centralist government policies of Simón Bolívar that accumulated power in Bogotá and did not integrate the entire population in political, economic and social decision-making, generating tension between the supporters of centralism and federalism.

2) The serious economic crisis that the territories of South America were going through after their independence processes, wars and new governments.

3) The lack of communication between the member territories of “La Gran Colombia”, caused by the great territorial extension that it covered.

4) The absence of Simón Bolívar in the power, who was liberating other territories in South America.

We believe that one of the biggest mistakes at the time of the creation of "La Gran Colombia" was that Simon Bolivar, not being able to exercise the position correctly, decided to leave Francisco de Paula Santander in charge, who although he was fighting for the freedom of the region , did not share the ideals of centralism, causing a difference of opinions with Bolivar, which was increasing over the years, until a point was reached in which a new civil war was generated, so we consider that if Bolivar had exercised the position of president correctly or had left in charge a man who was a supporter of centralism, the division between the members of the government would have been less.

In addition, we believe that if the leaders of both positions (centralists and federalists) had taken the time to establish negotiating tables, in order to create a just and equitable constitution in every sense of the word, where the presence of of the state in all its territory without exceptions, allocating resources to progress, the power struggle would not have occurred.

We believe that if this project had had better planning and execution, many of the current problems in the Latin American region would not be happening. For example, poverty rates would be much lower, since being a "country" of this magnitude would have a very strong industrial sector with a large network of imports, having two oceanic borders (Atlantic and Pacific), expanding commercialization of national products, especially in the oil and coffee sector. Likewise, the political disagreement of society would be much less, since we would be one of the most important powers in the world, alongside countries such as the USA and Russia, being able to take sides in transcendental situations for the development of humanity.

An important event that we have changed or prevented to happened was the Separation of Panama. The separation of Panama from Colombia was formalized on 3 November 1903, with the establishment of the Republic of Panama. The United States was the first country to recognize the independence of the nascent republic, sending the US Navy to prevent Colombia from retaking the territory during the first days of the new Republic. In exchange for its role in defending the Republic, and for constructing the canal, the U.S. was granted a perpetual lease on the land around the canal, known as the Panama, which was later returned to Panama under the terms of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties. The separation of Panama, was primarily caused As the Colombian congress ignored requests for commercial franchises for the isthmus, which frustrated Panamanian aspirations, a separatist movement emerged to turn Panama into a Hanseatic country under the protection of the United Kingdom and the United States. As a result of Colombia losing Panama it also lost a large number of places from which they could have made money, this destabilized the economy and even worsened it. If Panama wouldn't have separated Colombia our per capita income would probably be a bit higher. We would have better ports. And more trade with the world. And a more rational distribution of production: many companies would have been located in Colón or Panama City or in Cartagena itself: closer to the world and less close to the stars. But that's it. Our shield would be consistent with our geography. But not with our economy: the wealth represented by the horn overflowing with gold and silver coins would remain an irony. A dream of abundance in the midst of lack.
To prevent Panama from separating from Colombia we should have stabilized the City of Panama as the capital of the country, giving its recognition and importance that they wanted.

We would have changed time "La constitución de Río Negro" (1863-1866) was valid for because having different groups of people in the power make the decisions less biased. This constitutions brought so many ideas and laws that were beneficial to Colombia. This constitution proposed the idea of federalism which consisted on dividing the political power in 3 branches (legislative, executive and judicial), this made it easy for the government to administrate the country and the decisions that were made to be non-biased. When the conservatives took the power the branches were eliminated and the whole power belonged to just one group of people, this is what we would like to change, we think that the balance between political ideologies would be the best for the country. Additionally the death penalty was abolished, juries of conscience were established and full guarantees were granted to citizens. Educational topics and knowledge were updated based on modern sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology and philosophy and the separation of Church and State was consolidated.

"Bogotazo" was the consequence of the magnicide Liberal leader Jorge Eliécer Gaitán. It happened on April 9 of 1948 in Bogotá. Protest expanded through all the country leading a Violence period that lasted 10 years. We would avoid the homicide of Jorge so this 10 years of conflict wouldn't happen and more than 35000 of lives were saved.
Probably he would became president on 1950 because of his popularity on the country, establishing reforms that include more people of society as agrarians, health system, peasants education and for poor. We think the violence of Colombia would decrease because the period after his murder was one of the most bloodiest in Colombia because it involved National army, guerrilla groups, paramilitares, criminal bands and een narcotrafic groups.

All will be different in Colombia if in the first place the ideas of federalism of Santander and centralism of Bolivar, could have been topics no to polarized in the time, this could have been different by including women in the debate, this is because women think differently. So, the debate could have been more diverse, and could have more nutritiously found an idea that complemented all ideas and was the future of the government. But this is a really illusive way of thinking that Colombia could have been better.

This is because humans, not only Colombia’s ,since the ancient times pre-civilization are selfish, and also the humans are very critical with other people, but they are not always self-critical with their beliefs, ideas, and actions. Coming back with seeing another present by changing past, is we still go more far away in history we can go in the greece war with persia, if Persia had won, the occidental culture will had been very different, but could really be better, the Persias where artist and mathematics, they although their religion they accept science, seeing it as a tool that they received by god, the greece art would not disappear, the art in this time in greece was very powerful, so continuing the parallel future, in europe things would be very different, the catholic church could also made symbiosis with the beliefs of persia, this making in europe a world more secular, making science and other laic thinkings.

This instead of a cruel discovery of America would produce a more comprehensive understanding about tribal culture, and instead of the destruction and the stealing of resources that America had. Also the independence could had a different ending, because in the original history, spanish government was very rough with all the natives, with the new spanish kingdom with persian culture they will accept more the differences between people, they will make prevail some benefits of the land, but they could be more assertive with it. With this say if the ideals of independence born in some way, it would become united, because without a universal law, that was the church imposing a law inspired on the good things of europe, I not saying that the catholic church not exit, because as before, I told about a symbiosis of cultures, some ways of thinking could be much more different than the real history, accepting science and critics of the religion. So returning to the possible independence the two possible groups could have an spirit of union and will not be as selfish as in reality, then the independence is signed and we are a nation, the Patria Boba will not exist and then the conservatives and liberals could not be so radical in their opinion, and the hegemonies will not be interpreted as something bad for the other party, the separation of panama also will not exist because of that, also the bogotazo will not occur because in this new perspective we will have, the assassination will occur, but pour reality will be different.

If we were Rafael Núñez when he promoted the political constitution of 1886 we would’ve done some changes. First we would’ve created a more inclusive constitution made not only by conservative but by agreements between, conservatives, liberals and any other political ideology the may be created at the time so the constitution wouldn't be liberal or conservative, it would be a fair constitution were both parties agree with each other and every word written there that way the government would've sent a message of a united country, but also we would include more ideas of our own such as equality between women, men as well as other races. On the political dimension, we would give opportunity to other political parties, to express themselves, their ideologies, and their ideas and to see them reflected on the country. This, because they can contribute to the country's growth, in social and economic ways. And for avoiding any more civil wars. By accomplishing this goals Colombia could’ve been better in the social, economic and political aspects, in the social aspects because no one would feel rejected from the society so everyone no matter race or gender would have the same opportunities to succeed in the territory, in this aspect this inclusive constitution could avoid the bipolarization of the country in either liberal or conservative but Colombian citizens would be more open minded to others ideas and would understand that their point of view isn’t the only one that is right. Then in the economic aspect, as all citizens from all region would be represented in the government no one would feel excluded so Panama would still be part of Colombia and Colombia would own the “canal de Panama so Colombia gets the benefits of owning this strategic point, this could also had prevented the Guerra de los mil días so the country’s infrastructure wouldn’t be destroyed as well as the 100,000 people that died there would still be alive and contributing to the economy as most people that died were adults, also Colombia could get industrialized some years before accelerating its economic growth with the production of goods in factories. And finally in the political aspect everyone would be represented on the government, and all ideologies would have their representatives so the government would be as inclusive as possible as a bipartisanship could cause many confrontations military talking, as we already saw in our history, and finally Colombia would had such economic power that it would be taken more seriously in the international community and could had better relations with many other countries thanks to the trading opportunities the “Canal de Panama” offers.
