The disease that my team researched about was osteoporosis, a disease in the bones that makes them weak and makes them break easier. I learned that at the age of 35, bone loss grows. This disease is not a rare condition considering the 8.9 million fractures that osteoporosis causes.

In this project I made use of Gimp to create the infografic. It was a difficult thing to do since you need to work in layers and it was hard because I had never used Gimp in such a complete project. We also used Garage Band to create the radio ads. We made use of our voice; we used the different sound effects, music and mixed them altogether to crate our 3 ads. At the end we are using iMovie to edit the stop motion video, interview video and video ad.

My team was a great team, they impulse me to do better and do things with time. We didn’t rush into anything and I think it is one of the only projects I did with time and without rushing. That is a big thing for me and I really appreciate my team for it. If I made trouble for my team, I’m sorry, but I gave the project a lot of effort.

In this project and during all the investigation, I learn a lot of our condition, Osteoporosis, which the bones become brittle and fragile from loss of tissue, typically as a result of hormonal changes, or deficiency of calcium or vitamin D. We as a team we learn how to agree in the decisions made throughout the problem. We learn a lots of technology, to use it wisely and to inform in different ways the disease can affect everyone.

Throughout this project, I learned about Osteoporosis. I learned that anyone can be a candidate to this. This is a desease that weakens down your bones, sometimes leading to horrible fractures. Not only did I learn about health, but I did also learn about video, sound, and image editing. I learned that hard work always pays off. I learned to cooperate as a team and to organize my time wisely.

During this project, I learned a lot related to science and computers. My team was in charge of the disease Osteoporosis through the whole semester. I learned about the causes and effected of this disease and who can it be treated. I also develop my computer skills where we presented all the information in a computer program like videos, poster etc. I also learned to work in teams and organize ourselves to finish everything on time.
