The Golden Stag Festival is the most popular Romanian song contest and awards, hel annually in the town of Brasov, Romania.
The Golden Stag was first held 1968, but after 1971 it was banned by the Communist leadership. After the fall of Communism, new editors were organised starting from 1992. Between 2010 and 2017 the festival was not held due to lack of funds.
It returned in 2018. The Golden Stag Festival takes place during the summer and is broadcast live by Romanian TV station TVR1.

The Wine Festival in Mitata Kythira, Ionian Greece: The annual Wine Festival of Kythira takes place in the village of Mitata, placed in the center of the island. It is celebrated the first weekend of August and is a fun occasion. Locals and visitors get together in order to celebrate the production of good wine, which is given free during the festival.

The Wine festival is organized by an association in Mitata called Myrtia and stresses the importance of wine production for the local economy. In fact, large vineyards are found all along the island of Kythira. A typical wine festival in Mitata includes eating, drinking and dancing traditional Greek songs played by local bands. The celebration lasts for the whole night.
