I've always known that the traits that children inherit from their parents comes from their DNA, and the concept just ends there. It might've been very difficult for me to understand, but this module gave me an overview of how inheritance of traits works. 

One major key takeaway of mine from this module would be that we cannot choose what traits we will inherit from our parents. In this module, it is explained that the traits are chosen randomly and it also has variations due to the environment. In our reality today, a lot of people do not appreciate how they look, basing on observable characteristics, or simply speaking, their physical appearances. For instance, some people say that they do not like how their faces don't fit the standard (pretty or handsome). With the presence of insecurity, a lot of people are being bullied or discriminated about it. 

It really cannot be helped that we inherit traits that we do not like; However, we all have unique traits and we should appreciate it. To be honest, I had no problems understanding the Mendelian Law on Inheritance and Non-Mendelian Modes of Inheritance because it was explained well during the synchronous class. The Central Dogma really gave me a hard time understanding it because this topic focuses more on the specific concept of trait inheritance, which includes the DNA and RNA. It took me time to think of a good one to enhance my comprehension of this module. The strategy that I thought of was managing my time efficiently, and give my full attention to only studying. I use a website called Pomofocus wherein I set a 50-minute timer dedicated to only studying and no distractions. It also includes a 10-minute short break and 20-minute long break which lets me rest my mind for a short time before going back to studying.
