- Chinese New Year was around the corner and it was time to have their reunion dinner.
- The day that Kailee’s family planned to have their reunion dinner was highly anticipated by the siblings.
- However, on the day of the reunion dinner, her father got called back to his office for some emergency work even though he had applied for leave.
- Disappointed, the siblings only had that dinner with their mother.

Problem Worsening:
- They rescheduled the reunion dinner date and the siblings still kept their hopes high, but this time a little lower than before.
- On the day of the reunion dinner, everything was going smooth and the siblings thought that that would be the day that they would finally have a proper meal together.
- When they reached the restaurant they were going to have dinner at, their mother got a phone call from her office saying that she needed to finish up some undone work for her presentation the next day.
- The siblings went home sulking.

Resolution:
- The next day, being sorry for always not being able to eat a meal with their own children, the siblings’ parents decided to surprise them with a lunch together.
- When the siblings came home from school, they were shocked to see their parents’ car parked in the parking garage.
- The siblings were shocked beyond words when they reached home and saw their dining table full of food that they liked to eat.
- They had a good day together as one family and treasured every moment they spent together

Conclusion:
- From then on, their parents learnt to spend more time with their children and to always put family before work. They never know when they cannot see each other anymore.

~MC had already finished her oral and listening compre exams.

Problem:
~MC was burning the midnight oil everyday revising her work.
~She hoped she could get good results

~When the oral and listening compre results came out, MC was disappointed as she had not reached her expected level.

Problem worsening:
~ MC's bad results only lowered her spirit level, and her performance was worse than ever.

Resolution:
~She was surprised when she saw a birthday party for her.
~Touched. Celebrated her birthday for the 1st time with her family.
~Relaxed when doing exam.

Conclusion:

Her parents are working full time to provide for the family of 6 and are very busy. 
MC has not propely seen her family and misses her brother Atticus who was killed - her brothers dying wish was to be able to have a family dinner after the ordeal was over as written in his preserved diary. 

MC stumbles upon the book before going to school.
In school she reads the book and hatches the plan of saving her pocket money to invest in a decent home cooked dinner. She tells her siblings and they too start to save up.
After coming back from school, they start to prepare the food -a simple dish of soup and grilled chicken. 
The parents are shocked and touched upon realising the plan and say that as much as it was a dream of atticus, it was a dream of theirs too. 
The family back in memories and are brought closer by the dinner. ( See how great food is.)

Problem:
- Her parents both lost their jobs and it was hard for them to get new ones as they did not go to University.
- soon her whole life crashed down on her  as her family was living from hand to mouth.
- her parents then started to work as canteen vendors in a driving school.
- Cassey felt depressed

Problem worsening:
- All of a sudden, her  parents started fighting as her mother had spent some of her sallary on a handbag and her dad was angry at her. As a result, her dad left the house.
- To make matters worse, Cassey’s grades were stooping as she was distracted with the issues at home. Cassey’s mother already stressed 😩 started scolding her and reprimanding her for not studying properly.
- Cassey felt like she wanted to crawl under a rock and die.
- She concluded that her family was broken and she wished that they could have one last dinner together and hoped it would make her dream come true by the family back together again.
Resolution:
The MC secretly planned a ‘get- together ‘ dinner for her family by calling her dad over and bought food 🥘.
 
Conclusion:
It was very tense 😬 and awkward at first but then they started to apologise to one another and the dad finally moved back in.

The author felt like it was a dream come true for her as her family was back together and they could all face the obstacle they had altogether

Introduction: 
My Dad was the sole breadwinner of my family of 4. Thus, he was so busy that he hardly had time to bond as a family. 
Problem:
He was rather vanilla. He would come back from work with a frown. Eat in silence before heading straight to bed. No ‘hello’ or ‘how is your day’ or compliments for my Mother’s cooking. I grew up thinking that my Dad never cared about us. Only when I grew older. I realized he worked hard for the family. However, I was unhappy that he chose work over family. 
Problem Worsening:
Other than being a workaholic, he is a thrifty person, always finding ways to save some money. Whenever I ask for money, he would ask me why I need it and give me a lecture about how he is not and ATM machine. This obviously annoyed me.
Resolution:
There was actually a motive to why I asked him for money. I discovered that he earns $80/day. My savings were enough to pay him for a day’s worth of work. I hoped that I could ‘buy’ a day from him so that he could spend a day with my family, even if it was just for half and hour. I went up to him and asked if I could pay him $80 just to spend quality time with our family. He was touched. She was never sober enough to sit with Dad and I at the dinner table to savour Dad's out of this world cooking. Se never felt like a true part of the family. I always loved Dad more. He was doting ad he never gave up. I always admired how he overcame adversity.

Problem:
• Dad filed a divorce from that nightmare of a woman,
• Divorce became official
Problem Worsening:
Just after the divorce, Dad started getting depressed and lonely, desperate to find true love. When he wasn't spending time with me, he was on dating websites looking for love. When I thought things were taking a turn for the best after the divorce, Dad turned into a moping man, not the man I knew.
Resolution
• Found a lady he liked, started going out, knew they were meant to be and got married.
• For the first time in MC's life, she had dinner with both Mom and Dad, like a true family. MC's dream came true 
• Blessed with a baby sister soon after.
• Finally, MC's dream came true.
Conclusion
• Things always took a turn for the best
• Never underestimate the power of love
• Blood is thicker than water

MC's best friend tells MC about her plan for her birthday party as it is also coming.MC's best friend tells MC about her birthday party with all her family members there to celebrate her birthday with her .MC feels worse after that.
Resolution:
MC's mom realises about MC's upcoming birthday after her friends told her all about their daughter's awesome birthday party.MC's mom tells the dad and they try to be free on that day ,clearing their schedule to make time for her.Gives MC a surprise birthday party. MC feels so touched and that was her best birthday in all her life as it was the only birthday she had with her entire family so far.
Conclusion:
MC learnt the importance of family and treasured it.

  • *START OF STORY: MC clutching recent family photo that was taken last 6 years ago...* MC is an orphan. Parents died in a fatal car accident when MC was four years old. Ever since then, MC's grandmother was the one taking care of MC. MC feels very blessed.
PROBLEM: 
  • MC has a congenital abnormality in her heart (a.k.a hole in her heart.) MC was born with it. (Usually children with that disease, have a slim chance of survival/ cannot live for long/ can live for less then half of life.) Eventhough MC's grandmother fills up the hole in her heart, (figuratively) MC has a dream: to live for a long time like other children and grow up. Furthermore, there were no donors...
PROBLEM WORSENING: 
  • After a period of time, MC's grandmother's health started deteriotating. MC realised that her nonagenarian grandmother does not have much time left as she was diagnosed with stage 3 Lung cancer. If she were to go through chemotherapy, it would only worsen her health as she is old and her body is not capable of generating new cells efficiently. Slowly, MC starts to give up on her dream. She felt a sense of injustice that life was unfair to her. When MC told her grandmther about her dream, MC' s grandmother merely nodded and assured her- not behaving like her typical exaggerated symphathy towards MC- and this made MC feel suspicious.
RESOLUTION:
  • A few days later, MC's grandmother passed away. MC felt so stressed. How would she cope without her loving and doting grandmother? MC also felt depressed. On the same day of the death of MC's grandmother at the hospital, MC felt so pressured that she lost consciousness and collapsed on the hospital floor. (It was also due to MC's disease.)
CONCLUSION:
  • When MC regained consciousness, she was on the hospital bed and heard one of the doctors saying, " It is a successful operation!" It turned out that MC's grandmother had stated it in her will that she intended to donate her heart to MC. MC had tears of gratitude in her eyes. MC was truly touched by her grandmother's act that allowed her dream to come true. In a way, her grandmother would always be with MC.
MAIN DREAM: to live for long like other children and grow up.
OTHER DREAM: for her grandmother to always be with her.

MSS: Dream must be established AT THE START of the story. Why was the dream so hard to achieve - make sure you include how tough it was for the MC.

resolution:
