Ithaca College's BomberTHON strives to raise awareness for pediatric illnesses and disease through fundraising for the Children's Miracle Network. We hosted out first event last year, and we are hard at work planning for an event when we get back to campus in the Spring!

Students Today Alumni Tomorrow is an incredible organization that strives to bridge the gap between the current and past students of Ithaca College. Though the group meets weekly, I wasn’t able to attend the general body meetings this semester.

Through this position, I've been learning how important it is to model the behavior and expectations you want to see in your team. Verbal explanations of the expectations of the job are necessary, but many people learn best from watching and doing. 

I've been making an effort to get to know the learning styles of each of my student event manager trainees, and I work hard to teach according to their preferences. Throughout the semester, I can lean on my bosses Rachel & Peter to support my efforts and enrich my teaching. With this being the last year I can be a part of the BomberTHON E-Board, I hope to leave a meaningful legacy that inspires those who come after me to continue fighting for this cause and increasing the organization's success year after year. 

Throughout the semester, I will rely on the support of my fellow E-Board members to support me in achieving this goal. It is important to me that ALL children have an opportunity to return to their normal lives no matter what illness, disease, or injury may get in their way. 

By raising funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, like Upstate Golisano, we are able to bridge the gap that insurance doesn't cover and we provide major financial and emotional relief for parents of sick children whether it be through gas cards, food vouchers, or hotel stays.
