After travelling on an over night train from the country's capital: Helsinki, I awoke to a magical, winter wonderland! It was freezing (-28c on some days!) Learning to cross country ski, ice skate and snowbaord was excellent fun. Additionally, I even saw the incredibly mysterious Northern lights. Thank you for your presents: chocolates, biscuits, candles, bubble baths and hot chocolate. All these helped my relax and warm up each evening; I was always ready for them at the end of a long day on the slope.

Micaela:In the holidays,I went to Spain(Barcelona).It wasn't very cold, we were at about 11 degrees.then we went to the mountains 1h away from Barcelona.THERE IT WAS COLD!!We went with my cousins.The first day it didn't stop snowing,my cousins were very crazy cause the went skiing,actually my aunt was the crazy one, everyone wanted to go back except her.Finally they came back with the roof of the car full of ice and the car full of snow we stayd three days and came to Spain and then to Dubai.

Maisie-Ann: For the holidays I stayed here in Dubai but my grandparents came to Dubai. We did a lot of things like go to the Dubai fountains, we went to the beach and a lot more they slept in a blowup bed in my room so I moved into my brothers room. But now , sadly, they have left and I have my room back.

First I went to a beauty centre with my mum and afterwards went to the pool. My second adventure was going to the beach club (not very exciting but...) the next day I went to the sea lion discovery in Atlantis. Then I went to do some rock climbing, later I went to the old part of Dubai and had a road on boat for 1 hour!!!!! After did some shopping there as well. Finally on the 3 rd I had a dinner with some friends. So that are basically my holiday adventures!!!!

We landed at 3:00 in the morning (on Christmas Day) and in the morning we booked a taxi and went to Worli, which was located on the other side of Mumbai. We visited my mum and my uncle and then we went back to Kandivali ; which was where we (my brother, my dad and me) were staying. We kept on doing this - going from Kandivali to Worli and back- most of our trip. On the 1st we went to Vashi which was in New Bombay ; it was out of Mumbai. We had a New Years party on the roof and we got to wear sparkly hats, devil horns that lighted up and glasses that glowed in the dark. We launched fireworks and firecrackers as well. We also launched lanterns and one didn't fly, instead it fell and burnt a bit of grass. I was going to pour my glass of water on top of the blaze! On the second of January we returned to Dubai. On the 3rd I bought a new bike.

I went to Doha for three days to watch the Italian super-cup (football), after this we went to visit some museums like Museum Of Islamic Arts (one of the most famous in the world). Then I returned to Dubai. On the 30th December i saw the DFC ( Dubai Football Challenge) : A.C Milan-Real Madrid. On the 31st I went to see the fireworks with friends on the beach.
