Pin a face on a log and pretend it's a live. Cover it in a blanket and have it next to the Christmas tree. Kids hit the logs with sticks and it poops presents .

Reading plays - reading really difficult things

Shakespeare and difficult language and how much effort it takes.

Some people find plays easier to read than books. Space on the page? Is more clearly set out. 

Other find tone and emotion really 

Oedipus Rex - difficult language  - when you're young and it was so shocking - the dress pins in the eyes

He is an idea to her perhaps more than a person. 

Different people being beholden to each other - Sayuri mainly, but also the 'mother' the chairman, the business men that we come across, Mameha - are they all beholden to their situation? And can you judge any of them? Has destiny positioned them.
