I thought it was an interesting video, the presenter was quite proud and confident with herself. I liked many of her ideas, letting students learn from exploring and then teaching others in the class including the teacher what they learned. I think I would prefer a balance of the old style of teaching and the new as there should be some opportunity for students to have material presented to them.

Student centered classrooms provide for a more interactive, collaborative learning experience which will engage the student more, allowing them to have more engagement in the learning process. By promoting DIY, Do it yourself, you are asking the students to investigate how the want to solve a problem. Each student may come up with a different idea, which is OK as long as they find the solution they are looking for. This method also teaches students it is Ok to fail, it is the process which is important. This article reinforces these ideas. http://makezine.com/education/
