For example, learners listen to a lesson to extract meaning from it and after the lesson learners write essays or do oral presentation in order to communicate meaning. Discourse competence is a essential education theory as it is needed for listening, speaking, reading and writing.

For example, the teacher give a lesson on Part of Speech and after the lesson an activity which the teacher marks immediately.
