UG/PG Freelance: Prospective students

GROUP 6: Get real-world, paid work experience while you study computer science. Our most able computer science students, UG and PG, are invited to join a talent pool, through which they are offered freelance project work with partner employers. It's ideal for students who either don't want to or cannot do a placement year, as they gain valuable experience for their CVs. Students can work up to 15 hours a week at a good hourly rate, and are supported by staff and researchers if they need help. All jobs are of a kind that can be carried out on campus, rather than at the employers' premises. It's a win win win (students, the department, the employer) innovation that will have great appeal to prospective students, particularly the sought-after higher tariff applicants.
