Hello everyone. My name is Blanka Rajšić and I am a librarian at the "Ivan Goran Kovačić" Primary School in Slavonski Brod. As a librarian, my most important tasks are to promote of information and media literacy, critical thinking. Together with my fellow teachers, I try to design learning situations where students will be required to use different skills such as asking questions,finding reasons and evidence that justify a certain claim, solving problems... I think this project is a good way for students to develope various critical and creative thinking skills.

Hi, my name is Maksim. I live in Slavonski Brod in Croatia. I’m eleven years old. My interests are practicing basketball, playing with my friends, playing video games, and so on. I go to an elementary school in the fifth grade. My favourite subjects are math, P.E., Geography and especially English. I like making new friends, playing with my cat and when I am really bored, I sometimes read. In my free time I mainly spend time with my family.

My name is Karla Jelić. I'm 11 years old. I live in Croatia in Slavonski Brod. I go to elementary school in Ivan Goran Kovačić. I go to 5th grade. I like being on my prhone and playing with my friends. I have long brown hair and brown eyes. I'm slim and pale. I have freackles. I prefer fruits over vegetables. My favourite season is summer but I love Christmas. My favourite colour is red. 5th grade is not so easy because everything is new. I have three new subjects. My favourite subject is P.E and my least favourite subject is geography. I do volleyball and I love it. I'm friendly, playful and kind of lazy. My favourite fruit is watermelon. I have a dog. Her name is Gina(Đina). I don't really like going to school. I just want to lay in my bed all day. When I grow up I want to be a singer or an actor. I live in Croatia. Croatia is a very nice country, and Slavonski Brod is a beautiful city.

Greetings to all project participants! I am Marija Matić and I come from Croatia. I am a Croatian language teacher in an elementary school. I am constantly facing challenges that will improve my work. Critical and creative thinking is at the center of these challenges because language is a means by which we mediate our attitudes and opinions as individuals, but also in community especially when we need to solve a common problem. That is why I believe that the skills of critical and creative thinking have to be integrated into my teaching. This project will be certainly a good way for my students to improve those skills.

Hi, my name is Vita Pavelić. You read „ć“ like „ch“. I'm eleven years old. I'm in elemntary school Ivan Goran Kovačić. I live in Croatia in Slavonski Brod. Croatia is a beautiful country. My country is known for the seaside. The sea in Croatia is really clear and blue. People from many other countries come to Croatia to the seaside. Especially in summer. My favourite place to spend the summer in is a Croatian city Zadar. Slavonski Brod is a small Croatian city. There are a lot of schools in my city. Korzo is basically the center of Slavonski Brod. My city looks awesome in winter, on Chrstmas. Usually in the middle of winter they add ice skating rink on Korzo, and many other decorations. Last winter it didn't snow in Slavonski Brod. Maybe a little bit. But it's pretty hot in summer.
