Description: The war was a battle between the Luftwaffe air forces (Germany) and the Royal air forces (Britain). The Luftwaffe outnumbered the Royal Air forces, but Britain retaliated by bombing Berlin. Hitler made plans to bomb Liverpool and London, but couldn't keep up with Britain's advanced technology.

Significance/Outcome: Britain won the war due a variety of factors such as advanced technology (they had radars that were able to track Luftwaffe forces) and motivation to defend their home country. Significant loss of lives from both sides of the war. The USS Lexington was sunk and the USS Yorktown was damaged.
