It is 130000 asking price, 3 bed 2 bath, was built in 1990, 1782 square feet, and has a two car garage, is near many schools, fenced in yard, and much more. It is ultimately cheaper than the house they are living in right now, and will save money becasue the house is cheaper. It may need a couple coats of paint and a refresh on the roof and outside, and meets all of there needs.

The house is 76 years old but is in great condition because they had a new roof installed in 2022. There is a fenced in rear yard for the children to play in, with a shed to store equipment.

It is in a good area. If they move, they can make more money since the cost of living change is not more than the pay raise she would get. It is a brand new house that costs $254,900. It is 1,568 square foot. It is technically cheaper since she makes more money if they were to move.

But, while I was looking for houses, I couldn’t find anything with the criteria that we were using. I could find 1500 square foot houses for <$300k, but they were trailer homes. So I decided to switch my location to Kansas. I found out that you can buy a nearly 3000 square foot house for less than $290k. So, I set them up in a 2700 square foot house, with 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms, for $269,000. I also found that the general cost of living in Wichita is 14% less than what it is in Annapolis. But specifically housing is 26% cheaper than Maryland. Overall, Wichita is just a cheaper place to live, where housing prices aren’t too inflated.

Living in Detroit is cheaper than living in Annapolis, and the monthly house payment for 30 years will be only 0.85% of their monthly income. This house was the best of the other house options I found because one other house option was almost twice as expensive, and the other house option was unclean and overgrown with moss.

They also have a cultural diversity there. It also is a big city so that they have many education and job opportunities there. A lot of the houses are new, the neighborhoods are great and safe. The houses come with HOA, new upgraded appliances, paint and flooring in the home. The homes also fit into their income, similar to 3 bds, 2bath are around $200k-400k in the price range. Moving there, the house would be similar to their previous home, and be nearby many schools and jobs they’re seeking for.

The house I found was $250,000 and the monthly payments with a $30,000 down payment would be $1,928. Which is less than 28% of their monthly income of $7,500. They are very close to schools (Less than 5 miles) and have no risks weather wise. It fits into their budget and they get more than what they ask for like 1 extra bedroom and one extra bathroom. It was made in 1890 but there have been many additions to the building to make it fit modern standards. It is a 3 story home with 2,695 sq feet and a lot size of 2,579 sq feet. This would be a perfect home for Trish and Scott to live in.

The house is $74,900 has 2,554ft2 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. 124 year old property, lastly has central air. The price might seem weird but it is in a good part of the neighborhood.

There’s a lot size of 6,095 sqft so there’s a big yard. The monthly payment did increase by a little less than $500. Their standard of living should be doable based off of their current 75,000 income because it increased to about a 77,000 standard of living, but with their new gross income of 90,000, they should be alright.

Down on Ross ave there is a house meeting most of their needs and wants. Listed at $214,000, this house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as they requested. The house is also 2,624sqft in size. Built in 1950 this Family Residence brings very key points to the table. From a gas fireplace and workshop area, to a full rec room and an overly large breezeway, to the large picture window and a wood burning fireplace. The average cost in $1,400/mo. In this ranch styled home, it includes a 2 car garage, attached may I add, along with a user friendly kitchen. With a house like this it would be a great steal in the growing town.
