B. Our lesson was to follow a recipe. Everyone had to practice taking turns, help each other out, and sharing a space with peers. It was a good lesson for teaching social skills and respectful boundaries with others.

B. Our lesson was to take a big moment and pull out small moments, then illustrate and write about the small moments. Example: Going to Disneyland is the big moment, but the small moment I wrote about was standing in line for "It's A Small World" ride. First page was me standing in line, second page was me stepping in gum, third page was me scraping the gum off my shoe, lastly I finally got the gum off my shoe while still standing in line. This takes a lot of critical thinking. After writing the students will partner up and read their stories to each other, then if they want, they can share with the whole class. Communication and collaboration.

We had a lesson on Magnets (Force & Pull), we used a tissue ghost and used a magnet to keep a ghost floating with a magnet beneath it. Each students was given different items that were drawn to different magnets. Students had to go around the room and find things that were metal and stuck to the magnet and things that were not metal and did not stick to the magnet. They had to draw pictures (illustrate) items that were and were not attracted to the magnets.

B. We have been talking about composing/decomposing numbers which has been a hard concept for most of my students, however they have been working in pairs to come up with different ways to get to a certain number. They each have their own manipulatives and have to work together to figure out how to get to the particular number for that day (ex: day 1 was #6, day 2 #7, day 3 #8, and so on). Each time they think of a new way they write it down in their math journal.

We have social skills lessons every morning. We go over what being respectful and building these relationships all about. I give them scenarios and we discuss what we should be doing in certain situations.

B. I use this during my Social Skills lesson with my BCS students. I will read a social skill story that has to do with handling and recognizing emotions that they might experience. We talk about what they feel and might look like and what might be the best way to handle the emotions when the emotions arise.

B. During our daily weather lesson, I focus on developing social skills by teaching students to respect each other's turns while others complete the activity. I emphasize the importance of waiting patiently(with a calm body) and showing consideration for their classmates. This approach models respectful behavior and sets clear expectations for taking turns with the help of visuals.

B. Working with mostly non-verbal kids, I think inquiry and exploration is a attribute that we use a lot. When I am teaching a lesson, like for instance teaching shapes, it's always good to have some manipulatives like shape sorting toys or Velcro matching (with areas mapped out with different shapes and real life objects representative of those shapes). Then, I would model the correct shape and let them explore the different correct and incorrect options. For some of them they cannot verbally tell me which picture or shape goes/fits where but by watching them explore and inquire (sometimes using speech devices) I'm able to see if they have mastered the lesson or not.

2- During one of our lessons we had the students create a poster recruiting people to come fight for Mexican Independence. The students communicated with there peers and collaborated with each other to get ideas. They also had to implement critical thinking skills because there was no example to go off of honestly it was all from their imagination and context of the lesson.
