In the late nineteenth and early twentieth century United States was rocked by a wave of terrorism perpetrated by anarchists who sought to overthrow the government by force. The September 16, 1920 the anarchists attacked the 'heart of capitalism', carrying out an attack that shook the country. A man arrived in a horse-drawn carriage to Manhattan and facing the Morgan House, located across the street from the Stock Exchange of New York stopped. The driver left his horse and disappeared into the crowd. Just after noon, hundreds of kilos of explosives stored in the car, were detonated in the street, which was full of people, leaving 38 people dead and wounding 400.
