- Those with different views would not be considered equal to those who do, causing no feeling of belonging in the country to those people. 
- We learn from our mistakes. Having shared values can sort of lead to having the same mindset. Having the same mindset does not allow us to look into all perspectives and empathise with others. Without these, we will not grow as a country, as we would not know how to improve the situation for those facing troubles.

Some shared values , such as integrity, may be beneficial though, to prevent chaos and rebellion in the country, and to keep the people safe.

Considering that everyone follows their own personal values and personalities, some of which may not align with that the shared values, it is pretty difficult for everyone to follow these indirectly enforced rules. This would cause those who don't or are not able to follow up with the shared values to be under constant criticism or disrespect. Thus, shared values pose more lack of benefits rather than benefits. This has changed my understanding of what citizenship is since we're excluding and ostracising people such as single parents, all due to shared values. It seems rather unfair.
I am now weary of the fact that to become a "true" citizen of a country. You'll have to somewhat align your personal values and your personality to the shared values of a country.
