         <description><![CDATA[<div>To effectively communicate the importance and benefits of peer support to students and their families, teachers&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;need to have a good understanding of what peer support is, its benefits, and its importance. They can attend workshops and seminars or read relevant materials to increase their knowledge. Teachers can start a conversation with students and their families to explain the concept of peer support and its importance. They can explain how peer support can help students feel more connected, confident, and supported in school. They can also share success stories of students who have benefited from peer support,&nbsp; show how peer support has helped these students overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and develop meaningful relationships with their peers. Teachers can encourage students to participate in peer support programs and explain the benefits of doing so. They can also encourage families to support their children's participation in these programs.  Teachers can address misconceptions about peer support by providing accurate information and dispelling myths. For example, they can explain that peer support is not therapy, but rather a way for students to connect with their peers and receive emotional support.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

That person should take care of the process of selection and education of peer mentors, but he/she should also be a promoter who will encourage other teachers to participate and support&nbsp; peer mentoring. Implementing the idea of ​​peer mentoring should start with small steps and simpler activities that can become more demanding with experience. It is very important that students who participate in the peer mentoring program know that it is a two-way process in which both the mentor and the mentees have their own gains. It is also important that peer mentors know what their limits are and when it is necessary to include a coordinator, parents or other adults who are competent for more challenging situations that may occur during the activity.</div>]]></description>

Frequent meetings with the parents' representative would be a great way to present all of the benefits as well as challenges of the peer support programs. Also, teaching a workshop on the importance of collaboration, group dynamics and genuine support among students is the next step in involving students into the program. Each student mentor could also have a mentor in the teaching staff who would, trough weekly discussion, supervise their mentee's work.</div>]]></description>

Later on, students that decide to participate as mentors and mentees can spread the knowledge and awareness of benefits to new members trough „introduction to“ workshops.
