Petrarch was a true poet; he looked at the world and saw the beauty in it. This was enhanced by his study of the classics, and through his promotion of those as well as his own work, he essentially kickstarted a movement in Europe of art and poetic thinking, of exploring what it means to be a human. This movement is what brought Europe out of the so-called Dark Ages, and while there were several other factors contributing to the Renaissance, such as the fall of Constantinople and a growing disillusionment with the catholic church, Petrarch essentially was the one to get this ball rolling.

Petrarch was essentially the librarian of the past. He searched and found manuscripts and text of the Romans and Greek and made sure others could access them. This allowed other to start to question and form there own new ideas. We should care about humanism because it helped people ask questions. Asking questions is the only way for people and society to grow. Humanism created the opportunity to escape the status quo of the church and form their own independent ideas.

Petrarch, being considered the father of humanism, was known for his interest in classic poetry and Latin literature. He looked to Latin as a way of re-entering classical thought and imagination. He wanted to find new ways of thinking and investigation of one's self and the world around. He also championed vernacular poetry, which helped spread the influence of his works in not just Italy but beyond. Also, his works had a great impact on visual arts in Italy and inspired many. This whole idea of adoring nature and the beauty of humans was very new in a time that was considered to be very dark and unenlightened by many. Humanism also helped people step away from simply believing everything to be true if it came from the Catholic Church, as they were able to inform themselves rather than waiting for someone else to do it for them. (I can't get it to say my name but I'm Chris)

Petrarch's curiosity is very significant. It was because of this curiosity that he explored and translated many works which he was able to contribute to the world. Introductions such as these help the development of arts and sciences, and in this case his works majorly helped develop the things of the literary world. Humanism matters because the focus on the self rather than on the church promotes self development, which in turn causes people to become more knowledgable. As people become more knowledgable more Ideas are made and more innovation comes about which overall advances the world we live in.

Petrarch had influenced a wave of people about humanism. Many considered Petrarch for how he had valued things. This had snowballed into something bigger as more people had adopted this idea. The influence had changed many peoples view on lives and how they approached things.

When Petrarch translated and unearthed old texts, it created new opportunities to see how things have changed or how they've stayed the same. It also created new opportunities to learn in a different type of way since art often times reflects society, and classical texts would have been a reflection of society at that time. The revival of these old texts also could have pushed others to create new texts themselves. Humanism is caring and seeing the importance in many different aspects of life rather than just focusing on religion, as they did at the time. It's seeing how you can pull from all these different areas to open the worldview and using the different fields to improve it.
