To lessen the chance of corruption in the workplace, the following actions can be taken:

1. Recognize the law and other rules: Organizations must be aware of and stay current with the anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) legal and regulatory framework in their home countries in order to guarantee that their operations are always compliant with the law.

2. Perform a risk analysis: So that the ensuing anti-corruption policy can be written with each company's unique vulnerabilities and weaknesses in mind, an objective risk assessment must be done.

3. Create a mood top-down: Management must take a zero-tolerance stance against all types of corrupt behavior and successfully spread this message throughout the organization.

4. Always exercise caution: Due diligence should always be done on everyone involved, including employees, business partners, agents, suppliers, and service providers.

5. Continue to review your policy: An efficient method should be put in place for periodically assessing and revising the ABAC policy frameworks that include, among other things, procurement, financial policies and procedures, gifts and donations, and whistleblowing.

6. Interact and instruct: Staff members must be informed of the policies and receive training on the employee's first day of work and continue throughout their tenure.

7. Always defend informants: Companies must establish secure areas where employees can report events without worrying about retaliation.

8. Watch and evaluate: Unexpected change happens frequently, so it's critical for organizations to regularly review their risk profiles.
