If the artist is more successful they can use OOH Advertising and could spend more money. The typical ways an artist would advertise themselves and many more:
  • Posters (OOH, Bus Adverts, Billbords) 
  • Social Media (interacting with their audience)
  • Magazines
  • Interviews
  • Websites 
  • Collabarations with other artist or TV shows
  • Live Shows/Tours/ Concerts  
  •  Pop Ups Shops
But as technology changes with time so does marketing methods. All these mentioned above are still used by artists but social media and online advertising has increased massively with society being obsessed with smartphones and technology. Majority of the population use social media vigorously thus it only makes sense if artist use more online advertising to market themselves instead of things like music magazines, album signing, Pop up shops nowadays they would have online pop up adverts on youtube, meet and greets after concerts, TV appearances.
