I really liked this book. This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster, with a lot of twists and turns. The conflict between the two main characters was great. For example being best friends for almost all of their lives, to being enemies. This book was also very funny at times. It wasn't like one of those books that are good at the beginning dull in the middle and good at the end. No this book was exciting throughout the whole book.

I chose this Title because it was the very first title that was used when the book was first made. I think this cover was the best because it shows the what people thought Indians were in the book, which was very violent people.

"Yep I only scored three points, my lowest point total of the season." pg194
I chose this quote because it showed how bad the rivalry was between Rowdy and Arnold. Arnold was glad that he scored even thought it was only three points because it was three point on Rowdy.

" you can do it coach said,
I can do it I said" pg 188
I chose this quote because I think that it is great that for once in Arnold life had self confidence in himself.

Coach and my teammates thought I was crying tears of joy but they were tears of shame." pg 196
I chose this quote because all though Arnold was now feeling like a champion he always feel like he has done something wrong. For example by winning the game he thought that he crushed the spirit of the
other team. The other team is poor but his team is rich and he blames himself for that just like he does every other thing.

I really would recommend this book for anyone who likes to read stories about friendships and sports. This book was really great, it had me hanging off my chair guessing what will happen next throughout the whole book. Me personally, I like sports so when they began to talk about sports I could relate because I knew in more depth what they were talking about. Some people could relate to this book just by the theme of grief and thinking everything is their fault. The main character goes through the same thing regular teenagers do but they show that everything works out in the end.
