         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the first step I will take in joining the New Teacher Mentor Program as a mentor. This process should begin before the school year officially begins to give the mentors time to get adjusting before working with their mentees. It is important to explore what is already working and producing success in the mentoring program. Forming a committee of the administrators leading the program and mentors will help to evaluate what is working and where there are areas of need in the program.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This step is a continuation of the first part of the plan. Once the committee has evaluated areas of success and areas where growth is needed, we will narrow in on what exactly a new teacher mentor should be doing with the new teacher that they are assigned to. We will create a set list of priorities that mentors should be addressing with their mentees. Topics will include, how to operate tools in the building such as the copier, where to find materials, how to navigate the observation process, the SLO process, classroom management strategies, parent teacher conferences, back to school night, curriculum, assessments, equity, growth mindset, classroom community, and more. <br><br>The committee will also discuss how to determine if the goals of the mentoring program were met. They will do this by examining surveys, observation data, and SLO data at the end of the school year. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Create a schedule and timeline for meetings (August 20- August 25)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Once a plan is established for how the mentors will work with the new teachers, a schedule will be created for meetings. Mentors must meet with their new teacher mentee twice a month for 30 minute meetings. They will be able to decide amongst themselves when they would like to do that. A bi monthly New Teacher Mentor Program meeting will be held with the mentors and administration leaders to check in,provide updates, and address any concerns that may arise. All stakeholders will also keep a line of communication open through email and Microsoft Teams to communicate whenever necessary. The new teachers should be made to feel comfortable contacting their mentor with any concerns or questions. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Mid-Year Survey (January)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A mid year survey will be given to the new teachers. This survey serves the purpose of gaining the perspectives of the new teachers and how they feel their school year is going. This will also be an opportunity for teachers to answer the questions that were given to the mentors as well. (Are they finding success? Are they encountering issues? Did they discover something that needs to be added to the priority list of what to cover with new teachers?)<br><br>Data from the December meeting and January survey will be discussed at the next bi-monthly New Teacher Mentor Program meeting. The data collected will be examined and any adjustments that need to be made will be implemented for the remainder of the school year. </div>]]></description>

The plan that was discussed in August will be implemented regarding how to measure of the goals of the New Teacher Mentor Program were met, and if any more adjustments need to be made for the following school year. Data from the surveys, observation data, and SLO data will be used to measure the overall success of the New Teacher Mentor Program's goals. </div>]]></description>
