Dante A.A.
- OYAP provides an opportunity to build resiliency

- Case Studies: how would your council a student with x marks and level x in regards to Individual Pathway Plan. (IPP).

-ex. for consideration: to be in electrical you needs a minimum C Math and C Physics

-you need to consider their background, experience, etc. and council for the appropriate apprenticeship, don’t pick out of the hat.
-Through Co-op, students who are interested in the apprenticeship pathway are registered online through OYAP in a Registered Training Agreement (they are now a high school student and Apprentice) then after secondary school they can find an employer (new or old) to take them on and take their level 1 apprenticeship. Bonus: they get level 1 sooner

-There are training standards manuals for each trade (see ministry wed site or Luciano) which outline all the tasks/skills that the apprentice must work through each task. If you are a co-op student you can start the booklet and keep it for future. If you are OYAP Luciano will print it and give it to each student BUT if you are Co-op the student of co-op teacher can and should print it for the student and employer to work through.
