Recap in your own words: The British soldiers were going to get the high ground of the hill. That would make it easier to fire on the colonists because shooting down is easier then shooting up. The colonists had come with many people and a lot of ammunition and beat the British to the top of the hill. The only problem was when they were battling the colonists ran out of ammunition ad had to leave and surrender. 
Who won and why: British; Pyrrhic Victory. The colonists surrendered so that means that the British won.
