Shoes mean everything to me. When I was a little girl I would clip clop around in my mother’s shoes filling only the toe. I remember all the shoes I have owned - and the ones I have coveted but could never afford.

As soon as I slip on a pair of fabulous shoes I become the woman I want to be - generally taller, more stylish, magnificent. But there is a price to pay. The more fabulous the shoe it seems the greater the pain. Painful feet and dodgy knees, no doubt earned from squashing my feet into unsuitable shoes have severely limited my choice.

This little exhibition looks at some of the shoes I own, they have become my own little museum collection to admire but never wear.
