         <description><![CDATA[<div>If the citizens refute they law they think is unjust , it's on them. Nobody can stop a person from changing their own rightful opinion in a situation like this one.  Thoreau felt that "a poll tax put money into the government in an unfair and unjust way". Based on this evidence , it show that he was against the poll tax for a reason. Poll tax was used to get money from formed free man slaves that had the right to vote. But since he didn't protest for the highway and school tax, it's a issue because he was trying to improve his community and city. </div>]]></description>
